Dan is Vice President and head of the Company & Transaction team in Upstream Energy Research & Consulting at IHS Markit. Dan has 25 years of experience in the Upstream sector, helping build client relationships and managing a global team of analysts focused on company analysis and understanding the valuation, strategy and performance of the world's leading oil and gas companies. Also, under his leadership, the Upstream Energy Transaction Research team is generating critical independent insights into the global energy merger, acquisition and divestiture marketplace, and is dedicated to analyzing deals on a daily basis, while providing proprietary deal pricing, valuation benchmarks and M&A trend analysis. Prior to joining IHS Markit in 2011, Dan served two years as Director of Oil & Gas Research at Ticonderoga Securities, where he helped launch an Energy Research team covering oil and gas equities and writing research to serve institutional investors. Dan started his career at John S. Herold, where he spent the first 12 years of his career as an equity analyst. 
 
Dan is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a member of the CFA Institute, and a member of the Stamford CFA Society. In 2012, Dan was recognized by the city of Binghamton NY as a distinguished graduate of Binghamton High School.  
 
Dan and his wife Uchenna live in Trumbull and are parents to Desmond ’21 and Mason ’23.  They have been at St Luke’s since 2017.
