SLS PA: Book Chat Recap

Julia Uzgiris
The Forese Family Fireplace Commons was transformed into a Parisian literary cafe set in the 1920s for the annual PA Book Chat. Guests mingled and enjoyed French-inspired hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour in the spirit of the Lost Generation of artists and writers living in Paris. The inimitable duo of powerhouse faculty members, English Teacher Susan Doran and History Teacher Hunter Martin, led the discussion of Ernest Hemingway's A Moveable Feast. The deep insights they provided and the probing questions they asked led to an animated conversation among the attendees.

Always a popular PA event, the Book Chat served as a great example of the level of analysis and discourse our children engage in the classrooms at St. Luke's. Thank you to Book Chat Chairs Julia Uzgiris and Carrie Deane Corcoran for coordinating such a wonderful event!
