The Tradition Continues: Senior Tea with Mrs. Gabriele
S.A.
It all began in the 2018-2019 school year when Mrs. Gabriele, St. Luke’s Associate Head of School and Chief Financial Officer and then Acting Head of School, invited members of the senior class to afternoon tea in her office.
Today, the tradition (now in its sixth year) continues. Each Thursday at 3 p.m., seniors, faculty, and staff join together for conversation and a cup of tea. The Class of 2024 had its first senior tea in October.
“Senior tea is a wonderful opportunity to pause every week and gather,” Gabriele said “It serves as a reminder of how important community is. Coming together as a class with faculty allows for a break to catch up, share, and laugh. It's so easy to get caught up in the busyness of the day-to-day we can easily forget how precious this time is together. Before we know it, graduation will be upon us, so we should grab every opportunity to celebrate each other as the Class of '24 — senior tea makes that happen every week!”
